Amid torrential rain, brilliant sunshine and gusts of wind, Vendéen breeders turned out to show and promote their sheep on the vast farming stage that is Tullamore show. Harry Kellett from Co. Meath was the judge on the day and he tapped forward a ram lamb from the Ballinascraw Flock as the champion of the breed. This is a multi winning ram lamb from the Lynch family in Co. Longford.

The heifer and hogget competition, run by the Farmers Journal had a pair of Vendéen ewe hoggets bred by Pen and Stella Hatch and they were won by Nigel Browne from Ballingarry Co. Tipperary
